Fresh Brinjal from our own Fram
Yo, what’s up? You know me right? Thinking of which name of mine to use? I don’t blame you. Although I hail from India, they call me a brinjal here, an aubergine in UK and an eggplant in US. I know I got a snazzy colour, but don’t let my weird shape freak you out; I am a pretty awesome vegetable with some pretty cool health benefits.
One very little known fact about me, is that my regular intake can help prevent colon cancer. Also, I am an excellent source of iron, calcium and other minerals in high quantities. I can also improve blood circulation and nourish the brain. Additionally, I protect the digestive tract thanks to my high fibre content. I lower bad cholesterol, which can control high blood pressure and stress and am also recommended for controlling and managing diabetes.
